Our Library Then...
Our library opened its doors on April 1, 1989 with the help of founder,
Pat Ferenz, the Crowley Kiwanis Club and many volunteers. After funding
by the city of Fort Worth for outlying library services was discontinued,
Pat Ferenz and other citizens wanted to make the dream of Crowley having
its own library a reality.
After 3 years of continued effort, a 900 sq. ft. building, donated by
the city of Crowley and a $10,000 donation by the Crowley Kiwanis Club,
the library was born. Volunteers helped to build the first shelves and
over 2,000 books were donated. With the dedication of our volunteers,
the generous donations of our supporters and the enthusiasm of our readers,
our library is a warm and inviting place that welcomes readers of every
age.

Our
Library Now....
Today, our library stands at 2,500 sq. ft., consisting of connecting rooms
with a collection of more than 30,000+ books, too much for the space they
occupy. We've come a long way since the doors opened in 1989.Since it
was founded with donations thirteen years ago, The Crowley Public Library
has become the "little library that could", growing and improving
with each year.
The next logical step is a new building to go along with our growth.
